Christmas Animation
My Christmas animation using one of our little pods at work during the quieter days running up to Christmas Break. Simple to make, easy to animate, then a bit of a play in After Effects to zhuzh it up.

I love mixing media and making it move. I use After Effects, TV Paint, Premiere Pro, Dragonframe, Photoshop and Illustrator. I animate in 2D, Digital 2D and stop-motion.

Mixing stills into moving image using After Effects... this was later screenprinted on layers of thin gauze to be mounted within a frame for a 3D textile piece.

That’s essentially what this is. A test of the model from Maya, uploaded to my Aurasma channel. But Aurasma has updated and changed its name since these tests, so not sure if it’s still as easy. I had quite a few problems with the model upload as well, more to do with lighting and model rigging...

Doesn't look like you got good focus. I shoot with the same combo and get much better focus and sharper video.

I used photoshop to bring in the live (already edited sections) of footage and utilised the layers to overlay the original frame using the pen tools, saved out each individual frame and then imported each batch as a sequence in after effects.
